In 2006 with nothing more than a love for travel and a desire to try something new, Jason and Mary True set off a chain a of events that would change their lives forever, they started Totallytrips.com. There were a lot of late nights and early mornings in the beginning trying to take of every client every time the phone would ring (even at 3:00 am). They knew in order to grow their business they had to work harder and smarter than those with years of experience. Multiple hours invested in websites, Travelzoo’s, Bridal Shows and anything else you can image to get the word out, that’s what they did.

With the support of family and the existing businesses, Totallytrips.com continued to grow and flourish, we became a leader in the industry, winning awards from travel partners all over the globe. In 2010, after returning from overseas military service, Chad and Jennifer joined this quickly growing family business. With the acquisition of Cotter Travel in 2011 our foot print continued to grow, now reaching all across Missouri with offices and reaching everywhere else via the web.

A lot has changed since 2006, In 2012 Chad and Jen took over the day-to-day operations of Totallytrips. Jason and Mary both moved on from the agency they started to pursue other careers in the travel industry. Jim & Barb and Tom & Joyce have retired from the company, (mostly 😉) and Totallytrips.com became Totally Trips, LLC. The business converted from an online presence to a more traditional brick and mortar storefront. But, with all these changes, much has stayed the same. We still have the same work ethic that Jason and Mary had the day the doors opened, we still do our best to take care of every client that comes through our door, and we are still a leader in the travel industry.

As the saying goes, “the more things change, the more they stay the same”.

As we continue to change, we also continue to grow, in December 2021 we acquired Five Star Travel & Cruises in O’Fallon, MO. Now in 2022 we are becoming Aura Travel, 3 agencies, 3 locations coming together to make One. We are stronger together and more together than we have ever been. We are definitely looking forward to the future!
