More than just a Beach!

Most people think Hawaii is just a beautiful destination to lie around on the beach, but there are so many more reasons why Hawaii is a fantastic destination for your next trip!

Having been to Hawaii 24 times in my life I have been able to learn and experience a lot about the islands. You can see and do a little of everything! Such as…

beaches, Hawaiian history, World War II history, the culture, active volcanoes, lush forests with teaming waterfalls, swimming with manta rays, lush gardens, whale watching, visit various sites where hundreds of movies and TV shows have been filmed.

World class snorkeling/diving, unbelievable hiking, incredible scenery, canyons that look like the Grand Canyon, black sand beaches, active volcanoes, lava tubes to explore, some of the best surfing in the world, snow skiing/snowboarding on the big island, zip lining, shopping, cocktails by a stunning beach to the tune of a ukulele and a spectacular sunset!

Something New at every turn

All the islands are unique in their own way and offer something different that the others don’t have. Here is a little sneak peak of the 4 main islands of Hawaii and a few of my favorite things to do on each island.

Big Island (Hawaii) is the largest Hawaiian Island. Volcanoes National Park is a must that has 2 active volcanoes, museum, lava tubes etc. A favorite of mine on this island is the Manta Ray snorkel tour which is a tour at night which they shine light into the water that attracts plankton which the Manta Ray feed on. These Manta Rays are completely harmless and can be as big as 12 feet in width swimming around you as you are snorkeling in the water.

And Beautiful Sunsets!

The island of Oahu is home to the state capitol Honolulu.

On this island you can tour Pearl Harbor, site of WWII’s 1941 bombing attack by the Japanese and visit the USS Arizona Memorial, tour the USS Bowfin (WWII submarine), USS Missouri Battleship where the Japanese signed the surrender of WWII and you can visit the Air and Aviation Museum on Ford Island where you can still see the bullet holes in the building from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Another favorite is driving to the scenic North Shore to see the famous surfing beaches such as Pipeline, Waimea Beach and more.

You can also tour the Dole Pineapple Plantation on the island and hang out on famous Waikiki beach.
